Part of me feels strange carrying on with normal commerce in light of recent, striking global events – much like when I was scheduled for a NW Home studio session on 9/11 – and part of me feels like it’s what I know and offer best.  Thoughts, thanks, and love to people and causes near and far as I plug away on the homefront.

Speaking of My Northwest Home, this spring marks the 10th anniversary of ‘The Project, and I am celebrating by highlighting songs and stories from that era in many regional performances throughout the year.  <skip to calendar>  I also happily accepted an invitation to address new Mary Gates Scholars last month, and you can catch my full recap here.

And, I tell ya, these Bushwick Book Club shows have assumed a wonderful life of their own (catch up): our take on Shel Silverstein’s Where the Sidewalk Ends is Town Hall’s Saturday Family Concert this week (3/19), while the show for grown-ups happens back at the Can*Can Sunday night (3/20).  Visit www.wesweddell.com for my latest Bushwick recordings (video here).

After an exhilarating inland run in January, the Full WW Band is back at it on the 26th up at the beautiful Historic Everett Theatre; we’re teaming with friends ThorNton Creek for what promises to be a great night of full-band Americana.  My outfit is also threatening to tag along on my overdue trip to the Portland in May...

Stop by www.wesweddell.com any time.  And stay vibrant and safe.
