Greetings, all - hope things are well in your corner of this odyssey.  Fall fell here, and I find myself <surprise> turning to music for distractions in lieu of daylight: from tours with Reilly & Maloney (just finished one; another Dec. 10-12) to my own performance-rompings (skip there: homeregion folk, here I come for the first time in nearly 4 years!), the days stay full.  Looking forward to Spokane’s Fall Folk Festival this weekend, and another appearance with the Bushwick Book Club next month.

Indeed, last month’s gathering of songwriters sharing original tunes inspired by Slaughterhouse-Five (at the ultra-funky Can Can) was a buzz-worthy celebration, and netted me a one-adjective mention in The Stranger: ‘earnest’ (I’ll take it).  You can listen to my tune “Not Enoughhere, and watch the video here (keep in mind that I’d just finished it that morning!).  I’ll rendezvous with the group on Dec. 19 for The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

When the calendar appears sparse, odds are I’m plugging away at the original choral piece I’ve been commissioned to compose by the Lindbergh High School (Renton, WA) Ad Astra Choir - details coming regarding just when in the spring we’ll premiere this!

And, of course, WW CDs (especially the new one) fit easily into most stockings (hung with care or otherwise) and myriad other gift-receptacles, whatever your traditions: www.wesweddell.com.  Digital copies fit just about anywhere.
